The Bot & I haven't opened our gifts yet but I know I'm getting some more juicy charms in my stocking. i collect the weird ones with movable pieces like the ice cream truck, crayons or bubbles. I'm lusting after the cotton candy machine, jack-in-the-box & the pinata (it opens & spills candy.) I did happen to sneak a peek at Santa's secret stash and saw -- OMG! -- the circus lion in his cage & the cage opens. I also think I might be getting a bottle of Vivienne Westwood perfume. Just realized I'm giving away the tomboy nature of my inner-self with the three book heroines I've chosen: Arya, Lyra & Mabel. It's true, I usta be an unkempt mophead like Arya Stark & Lyra Silvertongue. Deep down, I still am, despite my penchant for dress-up. I love Arya Stark, from George R. R. Martin's "Game of Thrones" book
series. (I just started the third book, "Storm of Swords"
so shh...no spoilers.) Arya is only 9yo when her life
takes a dangerous turn and she's left to save herself.
She has an ferocious nature and survives on smarts &
courage. This is Arya when she's allowed to dress like
her true self (or is forced to dress like a boy, which is the
same thing basically.) She doesn't have a helm in the books, not yet, but she should have one. Maybe she takes it off an unlucky corpse or maybe Gendry makes her one special.
